Online Program: Explore Westchester’s Revolutionary War Sites

January 9, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us online for a special online program co-sponsored by the New Castle Historical Society, Chappaqua Library and Revolutionary Westchester 250 (RW250)!
From the Battle of White Plains and the crucial vote that made the Declaration of Independence unanimous to the capture of British spy Major John Andre with the plans for West Point in his boots, Westchester County played a pivotal role in the American Revolution.
Constance Kehoe, President of Revolutionary Westchester 250 (RW250) will highlight some of these crucial events, with a focus on the local sites and the people whose actions here made a difference to the outcome of our war for independence. The nonprofit organization RW250 is working to commemorate the upcoming 250th anniversary in 2026 by building awareness and excitement now for the events, places, ideas, and people — both the unsung and the famous — of the Revolutionary War period in Westchester.
Please Note: This program will be hosted online via Zoom by the Chappaqua Library – register at: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Y3xVQUTkS5Ofmc86egj-xQ
