Have you been to downtown Chappaqua recently? The centerpiece of the village is the historic Horace Greeley House with red roses on the picket fence, flower boxes on the porch, and treasures inside. The Greeley House is home to the New Castle Historical Society, a non-profit organization founded in 1966 and located at 100 King Street since 1990.

Your donation dollars in the past have ensured that this landmark has not been transformed into a Pizza Hut, McDonald’s or a CVS.

With more of your donation dollars in the future, we could provide educational outreach programs for more grade school kids. We could start a speaker series at the Greeley House. We could paint the fence!

Help us to continue to carry out our mission to discover, preserve, and communicate the rich history of the Town of New Castle. The Society does not receive any funding from Town taxes. We count on membership donations and annual fundraising events to meet our budget.

With your support, the Society has thrived, and in the future it can soar!
