Yes, there really was a harness racing track in Millwood in the 1850s. The track, called Glendale Park was located at the intersection of Glendale Road and Spring Valley Road. It was owned by the Ryder family and included a figure eight racetrack for harness racing and substantial prizes for winning trotters!
